Devoted Ken Myers, a self-confessed romantic, began his unique way of saying 'I love you' back in 1979, six years after he married his sweetheart, Valerie. The 77-year-old novelist has managed to save a few pounds over the years by writing a new cryptic message on the inside of the card, which is now full of scribblings from the past three decades. And Ken, of Leeds, West Yorks., even created the romantic card himself he used to work as a card designer back in the 1970s.

Anul urmat, barbatul a considerat ca un gest romantic este sa ii ofere aceeasi felicitare, pe care scrie un alt mesaj. Asa s-a creat o traditie pentru cei doi. Pe felicitare au fost scrise multe mesaje de dragoste din toti anii trecuti.

Batranelul lucrase in anii ’70 pentru o companie care facea astfel de felicitari. Atunci s-a gandit ca si partenerei lui i-ar placea una la fel. Pe scrisoara romantica se afla un baietel care ii intinde unei fetite inima sa, in varful unei prastii, pe care sta scris mesajul ”La multi ani de Sfantul Valentin sotiei mele”.
